Marriage of Gen. Bond’s Daughter
Miss M. Virginia Bond, daughter of Gen. Frank Bond of this county, was married yesterday afternoon at the residence of the bride’s father, to Mr. William H. Maupin, son of Dr. Maupin, of Portsmouth, Va. Rev. William Gardiner, or Trinity M. E. Church, Howard county, officiated — A large and fashionable company were present to witness the nuptial ceremonies, among whom were Hon. Geo. Colton and daughter. After enjoying a fine dinner and the congratulation of friends present, the bride and groom left on 5:40 train for their homes in Virginia. The wedding presents were numerous. May their whole lives be as enjoyable and happy as were the days of their courtship.
